Endeavour Ventures requires all investor members to be certified either as a High Net Worth Individual or a Sophisticated Investor. Self-certification forms are included as part of our Application Forms.

High Net Worth Individual (HNWI)

An individual with an audited annual income of not less than £170,000 or who has held, throughout the financial year immediately preceding the date on which the certificate is signed, net assets to the value of not less than £430,000. In determining an individuals net assets, no account shall be taken of the primary residence or any loan secured on that residence, any rights under a qualifying contract of insurance, or any benefits which are payable on the termination of service or on death or retirement and to which the individual or any of his dependents are entitled.

Sophisticated Investor (SI)

An individual who is considered by a third party authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority as sufficiently knowledgeable to understand the risks associated with investing in unquoted companies. As such, you are likely to satisfy one or more of the following:

a. You are a director of a company with a turnover of at least £1.6m.
b. You have a long history of investing in a range of financial instruments.
c. You are an authorised person as defined by the FCA.
d. You work in a capacity where you are required to have a thorough understanding of investing and financial markets.
